Since 1915, at Caran d’Ache - a swiss family owned company – we have perpetuated with passion the art of writing and drawing. In the long tradition of Swiss quality, we design, develop and manufacture our products - which proudly bear the “Swiss made” label - in our workshops in Geneva, Switzerland. We have developed precious knowledge combining expertise from almost 90 different crafts under the same roof. Our love for Fine Art is expressed through colour pencils, graphite pencils, pastels or gouache. They provide the utmost enjoyment for everyone - young and less young, budding and professional artists. As for the Fine Writing, our lines feature limited editions fountain pens, mechanical pencils and pens sculpted out of the finest of materials. Caran d'Ache's luxury collections are an expression of the extensive talents of our master craftspeople – talents that transform the art of writing into a daily pleasure. Showing great concern for the environment, we have always placed sustainable development, and thus respect for human beings, at the very heart of our philosophy. Our mission at Caran d’Ache is to produce the best quality respectfully of the environment. We consider the impact of our activities and the longevity of our products at every level of the company.
