About Carbon Asset Solutions
CAS’ mission goes beyond carbon - it is to establish soil as a critical asset and carbon as nature's currency by offering scanning and soil data services and carbon projects. CAS is headquartered in Australia, and currently operates in Australia, USA, and Canada, working in conjunction with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Soil Dynamics Laboratory (NSDL) in Auburn, Alabama. CAS holds the global license for the “Mobile Inelastic Neutron Scattering” (MINS)technology, which is accurate to within 1.1 mg C/cm3 at a 95% confidence level. According to the USDA, this represents an 80% improvement in accuracy compared to the traditional soil sampling method. The MINS' in situ measurements are stored in real time in secured ledgers in the Azure cloud platform to maintain integrity, transparency and traceability. CAS uses the MINS measurements in its proprietary software to provide soil mapping at the atomic level. This service enables landowners and managers to deliver regenerative agricultural practices. It also encourages investment in soil health and high-integrity carbon projects. CAS' unmatched accuracy, traceability and transparency empowers farmers and investors in the food, fibre and fuel industries with soil mapping, co-benefit data and high-integrity carbon credits. This increases the value of soil through improved input-efficiencies, productivity, biodiversity, and supply chain security. CAS was founded in 2018 by Ian Jones, Hamish Macdonald and Sara Macdonald to revolutionise the carbon credit market with unmatched integrity, transparency and accuracy. Today, CAS' mission and impact go beyond nature's currency, carbon. CAS' measurements and mapping provide landowners and managers, supply chain partners and investors with a complete picture of soil health.
