About Carbon Forestry Trust

Mission: In a time when the global community is experiencing increasingly adverse effects of climate change, the Carbon Forestry Trust provides an avenue for the mitigation of increased atmospheric carbon through carbon sequestration; specifically via reforestation and forestry management. We are a non-profit organization offering carbon investment opportunities to affordable housing and other organizations to assist them in reaching their carbon reduction goals while fostering ecological diversity, improved wildlife habitat, watershed management, passive recreation, and long-term stabilization of the biosphere. The Carbon Forestry Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created in 2021 with an aim to mitigate the adverse effects of increased atmospheric carbon by accelerating its removal and long-term sequestration through biological means. Its principal ways of doing so are the propagation and management of new woodlands and the restoration and proper care of former or distressed forestland. In the conduct of its business the Trust raises funds, acquires land through outright ownership or easement, plants and manages trees, conducts research and education, and performs other activities in support.
