CardioMetabolic Health, Center for Sports & Sexual Medicine is a Health & Wellness Metabolic Syndrome Intervention Program that conducts executive level multi-system medical evaluations for the development and implementation of aggressive and comprehensive treatment plans specifically addressing genetic predispositions, lifestyle choices, metabolic diseases and endocrine disorders for metabolic and cardiovascular disease risk reduction. Unique to this practice is the emphasis on identification and correction of sex hormone disorders, imbalances, and deficiency states with respect to their contribution to the development and expression of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. Our most frequent presenting complaints include: fatigue, loss of muscle mass, weight gain, overweight, obesity and sexual dysfunction (erectile dysfunction and low libido for males; female sexual dysfunction, hypoactive sexual desire, polycystic ovary syndrome, menstrual disorders and menopause syndrome for females). Sexual dysfunction is assessed as a symptom of an underlying medical condition(s). We identify and correct the underlying condition(s) while simultaneously treating the symptoms in order to optimize your health, sexual performance and overall quality of life. Our multidisciplinary staff of physicians, nutritionists, exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, and counselors are highly trained, experienced, and accomplished in this field. The practice is renowned and engaged in clinical teaching appointments for local university medical students, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, and nutrition/exercise physiology students. The practice is also engaged in active and ongoing research that is recognized for contribution to the growth of medical knowledge in this field having produced multiple publications in The Journal of Sexual Medicine.
