About Care Rehab

Care Rehab delivers specialist social work and psychosexual therapy for people living with injury, illness or disability. We provide national telehealth services across Australia and face-to-face support where required. Our social work services support people with complex injury, acquired disability and long-term health conditions. Interventions include psychosocial assessments, rehabilitation counselling, adjustment support, system navigation and medicolegal reporting. Our inclusive, non-judgemental and trauma-informed psychosexual therapy services address sexual health, intimacy and confidence for individuals and partners across all genders, sexualities and relationship styles. Therapy is delivered through a safe, talk-based approach; sessions are fully clothed with no physical assessments. Care Rehab is registered with the Lifetime Support Authority of South Australia (LSA), the National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ), icare NSW, and the Transport Accident Commission of Victoria (TAC). Services are also available through self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans, as well as private funding. All social workers hold membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), and all psychosexual therapists hold Society of Australian Sexologists (SAS) clinical accreditation, recognised as equivalent to the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) in the UK. Our clinicians also contribute to rehabilitation research, education and training, with published work and podcasts on disability, sexuality and social work practice. In addition, we provide supervision and mentoring for social workers, counsellors and sexologists, including individual and group supervision, leadership development and career coaching.
