Michael and Stephen Cochrane are identical twins who are both lawyers and academics. We have both worked as university professors and K-12 special education teachers who have helped numerous students achieve academic and professional success. In 2024, Michael Cochrane retired as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of California, and Stephen Cochrane retired as university professor. We then started Career and Academic Training Services, Inc.℠ (CAT Inc.) with the goal of assisting others in selecting compatible career goals based on their unique interests and strengths, to succeed academically in their postsecondary education, and to propel their professional careers prior to college graduation. CAT Inc. is headquartered in San Diego, California. CAT is the acronym for the name of our company “Career & Academic Training”, and it is further intended to honor the founders’ father, William Cochrane, who is a lifelong Penn State Nittany- Lions football fan. Additionally, the characteristics of cats—independence, resilience, self-sufficiency, and strength—are qualities the Cochrane brothers strive to cultivate in their clients.
