About Career Technical Education Charter

BRINGING STUDENTS’ FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES INTO THE CLASSROOM… Where education and industry work cooperatively to develop Fresno County’s future leaders within the fields of commercial construction and advanced manufacturing. WHAT MAKES CTEC UNIQUE? Students deserve to have choices in developing their lives and future careers. For some students, the logical choice is college, followed by a career. For other students, a career immediately or soon after high school is more desirable. It is the responsibility of an educational entity to provide students with the opportunity to be both career and college ready. CTEC will offer an extensive dual enrollment educational program to students in grades 9 through 12 who are interested in earning their high school diplomas while acquiring knowledge, experience, skills, and certifications within a technical career pathway. Students enrolled at CTEC will participate in an option of two multi-craft pathways with an emphasis on either advanced manufacturing or commercial construction. Students will have the opportunity to develop skills and certifications within their career paths so that they may immediately pursue their careers or continue their education and skill development at the post-secondary level. Students will experience a unique interaction between their core academic courses and their career technical education courses. Students will benefit from a combination of A-G and Dual Enrollment courses that drive project-based learning. HOW I CAN BE CONNECTED… CTEC has several opportunities for you to stay connected with its progress.
