My name is Jackie Pratt, founder of Careful Budgeting, LLC, a heart-driven business providing affordable, trustworthy personal finance and life-planning help to seniors, grieving families, and struggling households. I left my 9-to-5 to dedicate my 30+ years of banking, bookkeeping, and insurance experience to helping those who are silently drowning in paperwork, unpaid bills, or simply don’t know where to turn. Careful Budgeting offers personal financial coaching, bill-pay help, end-of-life planning, notary services, and more — in a caring, judgment-free way. I go to clients’ homes, help them sort through their paperwork, and help them set up a budget, understand their policies, or organize their financial lives. Too many people — especially seniors — are overwhelmed by finances, isolated, or grieving the loss of a loved one. I’ve seen firsthand how one mistake or moment of confusion can snowball into serious trouble. I once had a client pass away and wasn’t found for three months — because no one was checking in. That was my wake-up call. We’re living in a world where trust is rare, and financial respect is out of reach for too many. I want to change that.
