CareTech looks to be a bridge of the new Age-Tech products that have exploded into existence over the past few years to clients, users, and partnership opportunities. Many of these products have the capability of answering much of the needs within eldercare but lack the ability to connect with audiences who can integrate their products in a meaningful way. The understanding of funding models and delivery agencies in Canada’s healthcare system is complex, there are pitfalls and dead ends. CareTech’s senior management team have been operators, clinicians, and marketers in this space for over thirty years and have established not just a vast network of contacts but also ways and means to see projects through to implementations and success. The first combined assessment that CareTech will launch is the CareFall™ program. CareFall™ will utilize cutting edge innovative technologies designed with standardized, objective test measures to predict risk levels for falls and level of cognitive and physical care needs for residents living in long-term care homes (LTCHs) and in the community. Using an integrated approach, we complete a Cognitive Health Assessment, a Gait Analysis Assessment, and a Hearing Health Assessment, to provide the most scientifically sound and objective baseline assessment to provide a comprehensive care plan aimed at reducing fall risk, maximizing quality of life for clients, and managing staffing needs. This initial comprehensive assessment is completed by the CareFall™ team and entails a 30 minute assessment on every resident to establish a baseline analysis of their capabilities and degree of risk associated with falls and cognitive decline. The aim of CareFall™ is to be the benchmarking standard by which all residents of LTC’s and other care homes will be screened.
