About Carina Hesper

I am a visual artist from The Netherlands. In 2008 I graduated with honors from ArtEZ Academy of Art in Arnhem, The Netherlands. I am is fascinated by time. In my view, time is never predetermined; it always holds surprises. In order to show them in a single image, I works with scars. Traces of time in people or buildings. Neither with the intention to deter, nor out of empathy. These are images as a reminder of the unforeseen. What nobody knew happened, surprised - and left traces. My main focus is developing autonomous photo, video and interactive art, but I also love to work on assignments. Studio based photography is what I like the most. I am a strong conceptual thinker.
