About Caring Edge
-Caring Edge Private Healthcare Advocacy is a group of individuals in all areas of healthcare who meet face-to-face and over the phone to discuss complex healthcare problems usually resulting from a chronic or acute illness, or the need to find care for an aging or recovering person or family member. -At the end of our first session (typically 1-3 hours), a very specific plan will be developed that can be implemented by the client or by us. -We are also available to follow the client throughout the continuum of care, whether at home or in a clinical setting. -We are able to provide assistance and summaries during doctor visits, -Accompany the client to various procedures, secure appropriate transportation and ensure all needs are anticipated and met before coming home. -We can also assist with palliative and end-of-life decisions as well as provide help sorting out complicated insurance issues, including the appeal process. Our background is in all areas of healthcare; nursing (cancer, mental health, dentistry, intensive care, cardiac, orthopedic, and more), social work, hospice, insurance, etc.
