About Caring Services

Caring Services LLC was launched in early 2025 by Terry Hornikel and Carolyn Lookabill. Both had retired last summer after long careers in senior care/senior services. Caring Services LLC offers Senior Placement services, Friendly Visiting of the Homebound, End of Life Doula Services and Dementia training for healthcare professionals. The Speaker's Bureau at Caring Services LLC offers a menu of free presentations for Caregiver Support groups, senior clubs, church groups and civic organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, Rotary, Kiwanis, etc. The staff of Caring Services LLC belong to area senior professional networking groups such as PNG, ASA, ASNE, CSN and PASS. We keep abreast of the local resources available to older adults and their caregivers in the Greater Cleveland area. Senior placement services include working with older adults and their family members to explore living options when someone can no longer live alone. They may be able to live in Independent Living or Assisted Living/Memory Care. Our Senior Advisors help to identify solutions that meet the care, lifestyle and financial needs provided, We schedule & accompany prospects & family members on tours, assist with arrangements for the move in and can remain involved to support the resident during the "settling in" period. There is no charge for the family for our services. Friendly visiting consists of weekly one-hour in-person or phone visits to the homebound. Isolation is a major health risk for seniors who live alone. This service supports seniors who area without available family. Our Certified End of Life Doulas support individuals with a terminal illness. Assistance may include Vigil service in the final days but also Legacy services to help support the emotions and practical tasks of a terminal diagnosis.
