About CARITAS For Children
CARITAS For Children primarily provides opportunities for Catholic Child Sponsorships. Additionally, we also offer a program to Sponsor a Seminarian or Adopt a Nun. Through working with Catholic Religious Orders in various countries, CARITAS For Children is able to develop programs in the field, where the poorest children and families live. All of our sponsorships are for children, seminarians, or nuns who live in extremely poor countries. Our desire is to offer the works of mercy to the least fortunate brothers and sisters. Our sponsors come from all over the world and form a deep bond with their sponsored child, seminarian, or nun. Through pictures, letters, and occasional videos, these relationships are built and bring so much love, joy, and mercy to both beneficiary and sponsor. As a Catholic ministry, our mission is to build global relationships that reflect the universal call to “love God with one’s whole heart and one’s neighbor as oneself.” (Matt. 22:37-40). Our vision is to create an ever-growing worldwide community of sponsors and beneficiaries, where relationships of compassion, generosity, and love foster the practice of true charity…a “living caritas.”
