About Caritas Veritate Missions

Caritas Veritate Inc. is a registered 5013(c) organization aiding the poor in Tanzania, Africa, and Central America in maternal and children’s healthcare, food programs, water wells, and sustainable development. Our organization builds and operates maternity waiting homes for at-risk women and children near hospitals to reduce infant and maternal mortality by providing a safe place to stay for those who live great distances. "Maternity waiting homes are residential facilities, located near a qualified medical facility, where women defined as 'high risk' can await their delivery and be transferred to a nearby medical facility shortly before, or earlier should complications arise." In Central America, we built and operated a maternity waiting home for an at-risk indigenous population, which helped reduce infant mortality by 50% based on a local governmental statistic. The maternity waiting home and the medical hostel have operated for over 7 years, providing nutritional meals, lodging, and pregnancy advocacy for remote indigenous peoples. We have brought water to over 10.000 people through our water well programs. We have assisted in building infrastructure through donations of chapels, community centers, and vehicles.
