About Carolina Autotransfusion
Founded in 1989, Carolina Autotransfusion, Inc. is a key supplier of autotransfusion services. We are acclaimed for our ability to provide quality, reliable blood management services on short notice. Our mission at Carolina Autotransfusion, Inc., (CATI) is to offer hospitals and physicians the opportunity to limit patient exposure to blood products. All of us here at CATI are committed to providing perioperative blood management services that will decrease patient exposure to allogeneic blood transfusions. CATI offers and maintains the most current innovations and cutting edge technology in an affordable manner. Regardless of hospital size and patient population. CATI believes in the strength of educating all CATI staff, physicians and hospital personnel in effective research proven techniques. We are accredited by the American Academy of Blood Banks. Since 1957, AABB has developed Standards that promote patient safety and quality in several different fields. AABB's Standards combine internationally accepted quality management system essentials with technical requirements appropriate for each discipline. These Standards then form the basis for AABB's Accreditation program. To become accredited, a facility must be in compliance with the current edition of Standards and adhere to other accreditation requirements. The AABB Accreditation program is internationally recognized as a symbol of quality, and facilities that have achieved AABB accreditation are known to provide quality products and services. AABB’s Accreditation promotes the highest standard of care for patients and donors in all aspects of blood banking, transfusion, biotherapies, and relationship testing. Their comprehensive quality systems approach encourages continuous improvement and is a mark of high quality – showing donors, patients, employees, and regulators that our organization is committed to optimizing its standards of care by managing risk and intentionally focusing on quality.
