About Carolina Color
For nearly a half century, Carolina Color has withstood the test of time in the plastics industry as a top quality colorant supplier. We currently operate two ISO 9001:2008 facilities in North Carolina and Ohio and look forward to our first international venture as we expand into China in 2011. As a R&D leader in our industry, we developed and patented a new line of colorants in 2008 known as G2. The G2 product line has revolutionized the packaging and durable goods markets by providing never before seen let down ratios from concentrates in the industry. These low letdown products are exceptionally well dispersed and effectively distributed in both large and small parts. Our G2 product line is more sustainable versus conventional forms of color concentrates as it greatly reduces the amount of color required to produce finshed goods. Our Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA), verified via a third party, points to the fact that our customers eliminate 9.7 tons of CO2 emissions per truckload when using G2 as opposed to conventional color concentrate. Lastly, G2 competes very favorably versus liquid color which many in the industry have long considered the most cost-effective way to color plastic. In addition to our R&D services, we offer chemical analysis of products, including quantitative analysis of UV stabilizers, anti-oxidants, lubricants and fillers on both colorants and finshed parts.
