About Carolina Outpatient Detox
Carolina Outpatient Detox Program offers a medically monitored detoxification for adults ages 18+. Throughout the duration of the outpatient detox program, the treatment team is composed of registered nurses, medical providers, clinical support staff to address the treatment and recovery requirements of all clients. ASAM Level 2.7 is an intensive outpatient detoxification service tailored for adult individuals who require medical and clinical care while experiencing withdrawal symptoms but do not need 24-hour inpatient care. This level of care is based on the standards set by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) to ensure safe and effective detoxification in an outpatient setting. Operating at the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Level 2.7 care, this program bridges the gap between Inpatient detox and standard outpatient care by offering an intensive, time-limited, and evidence-based approach tailored to individual needs. This program is designed to address withdrawal symptoms, minimize risks associated with detoxification, and support the early stages of recovery while allowing individuals to remain in their home environment. Participants benefit from a combination of medical oversight, clinical interventions, individual and group therapy sessions, and peer support without requiring overnight hospitalization. Our Outpatient Detox has a physician on call 24-hours per day. Utilizing proven pharmaceutical interventions, our medical director will provide individualized medication protocols intended to alleviate the symptoms associated with withdrawal. This includes providing extended taper protocols. Access to a psychiatrist and/or a psychiatric practitioner is available to those patients with co-occurring mental health diagnosis or perceived diagnosis.
