About Carrefour România

For 24 years, the approximately 16,000 colleagues have been defining the Carrefour World through everything they do, day by day. We take pride in being the first retail company to introduce the hypermarket concept in Romania. Today, we have around 450 stores nationwide: hypermarkets, supermarkets, proximity stores, and discount stores. In addition, we offer smart shopping applications (the Carrefour app) and in-store innovations. All of these create an optimal environment for a wide variety of jobs, from pastry chefs, bakers, and butchers to fruit and vegetable workers, as well as specialists, professionals, and experts, both in store commercial departments and at our headquarters. We support and promote the principles of diversity and inclusion, equality, and non-discrimination among colleagues and beyond the organization. We continue the initiatives the company has been pursuing since 2014 regarding diversity and inclusion, when we received the GEEIS certification—one of the most important European certifications that recognizes gender equality in the workplace. The most recent confirmation of all these standards was in 2023, when we received GEEIS recertification. Additionally, we have been certified as a Top Employer for three consecutive years, a recognition that confirms our commitment to the development and well-being of our colleagues, made possible by every member of the Carrefour World.
