About Carroll County YMCA | Camp Huckins
Carroll County YMCA's flagship program is Camp Huckins, a nationally recognized, ACA accredited girls residential camp located on 200 wooded acres on Broad Bay of Ossipee Lake in Freedom, New Hampshire. Founded in 1928 as a co-ed summer camp, today Huckins hosts approximately 1,400 girls, ages 8-16, and 130 domestic and international staff during four two-week camping sessions in the summer. Huckins has a long track record of developing girls and young women in intentional ways and sees its mission as increasingly important in today’s world. Camp Huckins offers two Family Camps, as well as Mother/Daughter, Mother/Son and Women's Wellness Weeekends. Camp Huckins is a place with enduring traditions and enriching activities, a place that people return to year after year as campers, counselors, staff and volunteers. They come back because they are touched by how Huckins remains constant and true.
