Originally established in 1981 as G&W Home Builders, Inc. by Dan Wellman and former partner and brother-in-law, Mike Grover, then reformed as DJ Building, Inc. by Dan Wellman in 1991 when the successful G&W co-founders parted ways; Carter Construction & Contracting, LLC officially acquired DJ Building, Inc. in March 2015 and became the modern building entity founded by the partnership of 35-year building veteran, Dan Wellman, and his son, Brandon Wellman, a former Sales Engineer with 6-years previous on-the-job carpentry and general contracting experience. Construction is in our DNA, and for over 35-years we’ve been family-oriented and in business with family, from one generation to the next. Appropriately, the company was proudly named after Dan’s grandson & Brandon’s nephew, Carter, whose college trust fund receives 3% of all profits generated from the business.
