About Carve Out Time for Art
Marissa Huber and Heather Kirtland met on Instagram in 2015 and bonded over a shared dream -- to create an encouraging and honest book for artist mothers so they'd feel part of a community and be inspired to keep going even when life is very full. We published "The Motherhood of Art" in April 2020 with Schiffer Publishing, and have spoken on this topic New Mexico State University, Altitude Summit in Palm Springs, Artist Mother Retreat, Minted, and numerous podcasts. We've met 3 times in real life, and thank the internet for bringing us together!
