Carwyn Cellars is an independent family owned bottle shop and craft pub located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. We are "no ordinary bottleshop" and engender diversity, choice, artisanship and individuality. Our philosophy flies in the face of an increasingly mono-cultured industry, dominated by a select few big brands and mega-corporations. We specialise in small boutique producers, with a good representation of local products as well as hard to find imports. Our life-blood is craft beer; stocking well in excess of 200 different beers. You will also find an impressive collection of wine, spirits and ciders; which our friendly staff are excited to tell you about. The bar features 20 taps - usually 18 craft beers, a cider, and our house-mixed Negroni - along with one of the biggest selections of whiskies in Melbourne, some of our favourite wines from the shop by the glass, and a hand-picked selection of small-batch spirits. Not bad for a renovated storeroom. The philosophy in the bar is the same as the shop. We work hard to showcase the best producers from Australia and all over the world. From stouts to sours, and IPAs to saisons, the taps are rotating constantly, and none of them are under contract, so you won’t ever see anything here from the big boys. With at least one or two tap takeovers a month, even the most hardened beer nuts will usually find something new to try. Add in regular whisky tastings, occasional food pop-ups, masterclasses with brewers, winemakers, and distillers, and the fact that all of the beers, wines, and ciders in the shop are available to drink on premise, there’s always something happening in the bar, and nobody will ever be stuck for something to drink. And it’s only getting bigger — we’ve got a back deck in the works!
