About CASA for Kid's
CASA for Kids, Inc. mission is to promote and support professionally trained Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children in need of safety, stability, and permanency, brought to the attention of the Juvenile Courts, giving them the opportunity to thrive. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for Kids, Inc., is a nonprofit agency charged with representing the best interest of children who are alleged or have been adjudicated to be abused, abandoned, or neglected, and are currently the subject of a juvenile proceeding. Children may also be experiencing a change of custody between parents or a relative in this manner. A judge appoints a CASA to independently investigate all aspects of the child's life to ensure that the child's best interest is always protected. Children who are appointed a CASA are served by a trained volunteer from the community. Volunteers work closely with CASA staff to form recommendations regarding what is in the child's best interest.
