Cascadia Strategies is a boutique consulting firm focused on expanding access to health care by working with public and private sector in the execution of strategic initiatives and implementation of technology solutions. Our roots lie in public policy and strategic planning, but we have found that plotting the direction is only the very beginning of strategic development. The Cascadia Strategies team has the experience to design and implement new technology and operational processes to realize the goals established by our clients. Cascadia Strategies staff have worked on some of the largest health system transformation efforts in recent years. Our staff led the following work for the Washington Health Benefit Exchange: *Developed business and system requirements for the Washington Healthplanfinder *Developed the rules for the Washington State eligibility system in accordance with the Affordable Care Act *Designed enrollment systems and processes, including issuing enrollment process guides *Designed and implemented EDI transactions including 834 Enrollment and 820 Payment transactions *Designed an enrollment and payment reconciliation process that serves multiple insurance carriers *Developed business intelligence strategies Our staff also provided technical assistance to states implementing the HITECH Act and All Payer Claims Databases. Specific contributions included the following: *Facilitated discussions on health system transformation, including developing sustainability efforts for health information exchange *Developed publications and tools to assist states in implementing Health Information Exchange and All Payer Claims Databases
