About Caterina's Club

Caterina’s Club is a dedicated non-profit organization transforming the lives of children in transient motels and shelters throughout Southern California. Since 2005, we have served over 200,000 homeless and economically disadvantaged individuals annually in Orange County. A Compassionate Beginning Caterina’s Club started in 2005 when Chef Bruno Serato and his mother, Caterina, visited Anaheim's Boys & Girls Club. They found a 6-year-old boy eating potato chips for dinner due to his family’s financial struggles. Moved by this, Caterina urged Bruno to prepare a meal for the child. This moment revealed a larger issue: many "motel children" lacked access to nutritious meals. In response, Bruno began providing pasta for 72 children five nights a week. Today, we serve nearly 5,000 children with hot pasta dinners five nights a week, totaling over 10 million meals. Our Feeding the Kids program partners with over 100 organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs, shelters, churches, and motels. Expanding Support Our Welcome Home program offers up to $5,000 in relocation assistance to homeless families, covering rent, security deposits, utility turn-ons, and household items. To date, we’ve helped 271 families move into permanent housing. The Chef Bruno Hospitality Academy trains students in the restaurant industry, covering cuisine, nutrition, service, and administration. To date, 875 students have participated, with 12 students each year receiving a $400 weekly scholarship for a twelve-week internship.
