About Catholics for the Common Good
Sponsor of the Marriage Reality Movement (http://takebackmarriage.org), Catholics for the Common Good is an apostolate for evangelization of culture inspired by Blessed John Paul II. It based on Catholic social doctrine combined with the insights of Christian anthropology. Catholics for the Common Good has an advocacy arm that informs and organizes citizens on current public policy issues on which the application of Catholic social teaching is so clear, there can be little latitude for disagreement among well informed Catholics. Catholics for the Common Good Institute is the movements education and formation arm. It is currently involved in a major educational and formation project for the evangelization of culture for marriage and family called Stand with Children. It uses applied Christian personalism with a focus on the personalistic norm, the method of Blessed John Paul II based on a synthesis of Thomism and Phenomenology, and reality-based thinking -- the creation of an awareness of indisputable reality as an antidote to relativism. It has created the first formation program particularly for promoting the centrality and integrity of marriage for children and society. It involves small parish or community based Faith and Action Circles networked together under a local leadership structure. It also hold conferences, trainings, workshops and other events for the formation of the laity.
