CATTiS system is a Patented Innovation Treatment System that combines rapid temperature ramped-up and ramped-down in a continuous severe low-oxygen and/or high carbon dioxide environment for moisture control and pest at-all-living-stage control purposes. The CATTiS system can also have the versional option of bacteria reduction by using an integrated UV system. Process in 3 main steps: The commodity is fed into the existing low-oxygen and warm climate, then it is travelling on a moving belt exposing the climate for a certain duration; Then it is passed through a UV exposure zone in warming and still low-oxygen for total plate count reduction; Finally, the product is transferred to a rapid cooling zone for moisture reduction (if applicable), this zone is with low-oxygen to prevent insects contamination. The product is then delivered out-the-box and can be transferred to the packing area for final packing.
