The founding directors/shareholders of the Company have been involved in the offshore Life and Protected Cell Companies legislation and Guernsey approved and exempt pension legislation for over 20 years. During the mid-nineties the directors worked closely with the Director of Insurance at the Guernsey Financial Services Commission in developing Protected Cell Companies legislation for the management of private wealth. In 1997 they formed the first Protected Cell Company incorporating the legislation into commercial products for private clients. They have also worked closely with the Administrator of Income Tax in Guernsey in developing the Retirement Annuity Trust Schemes for both local and international pension schemes and continue to work closely with the Guernsey Tax Office in the further development of such schemes. In January 2008 the Administrator of Income Tax confirmed that the Company was approved as a specialist company in the business of offering annuities on human life. They are pleased to be the first Guernsey non-life company to be approved as a recognised annuity provider. The Company has also worked closely with the UK tax authorities and we also had the very first QROPS Deferred Annuity contract approved. They continue to disclose and ask for confirmation of the tax status of the various contracts offered by specialist in HM Revenue & Custom Pension Division, amongst others.
