Caversham Booksellers ("North America's largest mental health bookstore") is an independent specialised bookshop whose doors opened 15 October 1989. We deal in books, CDs, DVDs and other materials in psychology, psychiatry, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, social work, counseling and more. The original proprietors were Dr. Christine Dunbar, MB,ChB. FRCP(C) MRCPsych(UK) (psychoanalyst, on faculty of the University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry's Women's Mental Health Program) and Peter Heyworth (author of The Oxford Guide to Oxford, Oxford 1981; editor of The Letters of Humfrey Wanley: palaeographer, Anglo-Saxonist, librarian 1672-1726 (Oxford 1989); professor of English for thirty years at University College, University of Toronto).
