About Caversham Education Institute
Established in 2006, Caversham Education Institute is a specialised, vibrant early childhood teacher training provider with a focus on empowering and equipping teachers to support the holistic development of our future generations. The Institute is a registered Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 930056846) with level 1 B-BBEE status. We offer SETA-accredited qualifications in Early Childhood Development (ECD) across our training centres in Durban, Ballito, Pietermaritzburg, Kwambonambi, Port Shepstone and Cape Town. Our courses include: - Higher Certificate in Early Childhood Development (Qualification 23117) - National Diploma in ECD (Qualification 23118) at NQF Level 5 - A variety of relevant professional development and leadership short courses to deepen knowledge and skills and further support those teaching young children. Our students are all ages and come from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Recognising the transformative role that an early year’s teacher can play in a community, we incorporate a strong personal development component in our teaching to enhance students’ self-esteem and confidence.
