About CBI Friends

It is not a natural love that we hold for Japan, but a divine one that can overcome historical, cultural, and spiritual barriers for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” – October 6, 2003, from a letter by Kwang Chin Kim, FONTS Board President FONTS is playing its part in the story God is writing in Japan. We have been a part of this story since 2003, when we were established as a U.S.-based non-profit organization with a purpose of advocating for CBI. We advocate by praying, connecting, raising resources, and empowering others as senders. Our scriptural foundation is in Romans 10:14-15: How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” (ESV)
