About CCASA- Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse
Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse is the primary sexual assault and sexual abuse crisis and education service provider for Calgary and surrounding areas. Our organization exists because sexual violence is a crime that is prevalent in our society and impacts a significant number of people. CCASA provides specialized and individualized services to address the needs of sexual abuse and sexual assault survivors, their significant others, and the broader community. CCASA provides safe, accessible, professional services, for people of all races, abilities, religions, sexual orientations, or genders through providing seven core services: crisis intervention, counselling, education, outreach, police & court support, a volunteer program and leadership in the coordination of services related to sexual abuse and sexual assault. CCASA strives to enhance the health and well being of all people and our broader community through responsible and effective programs in sexual abuse education, research and advocacy, crisis intervention and counselling. After over 20 years in the community, CCASA has become a strong foundation in the service delivery web, and a leader in the field of sexual violence. Our Mission Provide leadership to impact attitudes and actions around sexual abuse and sexual assault. Our Vision Healthy communities free of sexual abuse and sexual assault.
