This allows us to eliminate the redundant costs associated with special handling, scrap loss, processing equipment and processing labor. Our large facilities in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City and distribution center in Chicago, allow us to serve the entire Western United States. As a depot for virtually all of your steel needs from our product line, we can free your capital and warehouse space, enabling you to service your customers more efficiently and profitably. "If We Don't Carry It, It Probably Isn't Made" To fulfill the needs of our customers, we maintain a current and on-order inventory in excess of twenty five thousand tons. That inventory consists of carbon steel bars, structurals, plate, pipe and tubing and totals over three thousand items. We maintain a very in-depth size range for each product group. In addition, some of our inventory is committed to those hard-to-find items that are infrequently produced and slow moving products that our customers have chosen not to stock for good reasons. This has proven beneficial for those customers who need those items but don't meet the stringent minimum mill quantities. After all, it makes much more sense to maintain a small bundle of infrequently used items on your floor than 20 tons and it costs a great deal less. Many of those items require lead times that are, in some cases six to eight months, clearly making us a logical solution.
