About CCNY Racing | SAE Baja

CCNY Racing is the re-imagined face of the City College of New York’s motorsports team. Consisting of a diverse, talented and driven team of 14 students, we aim to not only revisit the success experienced in previous years, but to go beyond. Since the team’s foundation in 2000 we have found success, finishing 50th and 24th overall out of over 100 schools in 2010 and 2012 respectively. In recent years however, progress has been stagnant largely due to a lack of resources. Despite this, CCNY Racing is committed to giving its students the opportunity to apply the concepts learned in the classroom to reality through hands on experience in a multitude of fields. Ranging from the design process, to fabrication and even marketing, our team provides invaluable real world experience that sets its participants apart from other students.
