About CDGA Consultants

CDGA was founded in 1997. Originally formed to cater to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry in Ireland, we have since expanded far beyond our original modus operandi as consulting engineers. For years, we found success providing our services to Cork’s chemical and pharmaceutical industry, catering to clients such as Pfizer, Pepsico and GSK. One distinct advantage of ours was that our founders had prior international experience as part of the Irish Navy and the World Bank. As time went on, we used this advantage to expand our roster of international clients. We began working with Qatar Gas, the US Army Corps of Engineers, Afghan Small and Medium Enterprise Development and the Finnish Embassy in Kabul. These international projects were an easy adjustment from our previous domestic work. Design and consultancy projects were undertaken, along with what has become a primary activity: capacity building. Work with bodies such as the United Nations Mission In South Sudan and the UN Development Programme broadened the scope of our international work and brought a focus on capacity building. Capacity building programmes in supply chain management, social organizing and outreach in conflict zones for UN volunteers have been completed and extensive business relationships have been fostered throughout the Middle East, China, Australia and North and South America. CDGA has evolved from a small local business to a cutting edge international consultancy that engages with a range of activities and expertises far beyond our original mission statement. CDGA is committed to continually working improve conditions in some of the world’s most adverse environments and to providing the highest level of service.
