About CEI Capital Management
CEI Capital Management helps create #GoodJobs in rural manufacturing companies across the country by providing access to flexible project capital through the Federal New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) Program and the Maine New Markets Capital Investment (NMCI) Program. CEI Capital Management is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CEI, a Maine-based nonprofit and Certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) which was among the founders of the NMTC Program. CEI Capital Management works in support of the mission of CEI: "To build a just, vibrant and climate-resilient future for people and communities in Maine and rural regions by integrating finance, business expertise and policy solutions in ways that make the economy work more equitably." CEI Capital Management creates and preserves jobs and improves quality of life in rural, low‐income communities nationwide by providing for‐profit and nonprofits businesses access to project capital, primarily through the Federal New Markets Tax Credit Program. Since 2004, CCML has placed over $1.02 billion of State and Federal New Markets investment capacity into 96 projects from Maine to Hawaii.
