About Celebrate the Beat

Celebrate the Beat provides the highest quality in-school, after-school and virtual dance programs for all children that improves their physical health and well-being, inspires them to believe in themselves, and establishes a standard of excellence that impacts all aspects of their lives. Our programs contribute to a healthier, higher-achieving student body. By experiencing CTB programs, children are learning skills that help them listen, focus, and take direction. We teach resilience in the face of setbacks, stamina, motivation, and tenacity to work hard for a final performance. The creativity and risk-taking involved builds strong character and self-esteem. CTB’s in-school programs provides a level playing field for opportunities to experience a top-notch arts education. Our “low threshold, high ceilings” philosophy creates access to quality programs for high-need populations while increasing educational equity. Every year we inspire over 3,500 children to see themselves in a new and positive way. Most of our students have never danced before. Our radically inclusive approach and commitment to working within the school day means that all students have the same access to our classes. Our partner schools are spread throughout Colorado reaching from industrial neighborhoods on the Front Range to rural communities on the Western slope, and mountain towns across the Rockies. Every day of the school year you can find our Lead Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and Musicians leading in-school, after-school and virtual programs. We also offer multi-week summer training programs with professional performance opportunities in Denver and Vail.
