In 1982, Cellulose Group Ltd was incorporated as a trading and foreign manufacturer’s representative firm in Pakistan. During its initial stages, the company dealt with the import and sales of paper and board catering to the printing and packaging industry. Subsequently, it expanded its product line to imported wood pulp, unbleached kraft, bleached kraft and dissolving pulp. These products were sold to industries manufacturing kraft liner, sack kraft paper, writing & printing paper, paper board, tissue paper, plastic molding compounds (urea & formaldehyde), cellulose ethers and excipients, filtration and hygiene products. In 2003, the company Cellulose Group FZC was also incorporated in the United Arab Emirates and expanded its market in UAE, India, Egypt, Bangladesh and Turkey into similar industries. In 2005, it grew its focus to include the import and sale of cotton and man-made textile fibers such as viscose, staple fiber, viscose filament, polyester staple fiber to Pakistan’s textile industry. In 2010, the company started to sell construction chemicals, furnishing textile and interior finishing products, non-wovens, advance material, technical textiles, medical textiles and hygiene products. Today, Cellulose Group continues to deliver the products and services that have been a part of company’s product range over the years, focusing on markets where the company developed its historical strengths.
