About Center for Arts-Inspired Learning
For over 70 years, the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning, or CAL for short, has advocated that infusing the arts into education is essential in order to provide children a holistic, competitive education. Our mission is to champion creative learning, drive educational innovation, and transform lives through collaborative efforts involving teaching artists, students, educators, and communities. CAL’s mission is fulfilled each day in classrooms, libraries, and community spaces across Northeast Ohio through active engagement in workshops, residencies, and performances that not only teach students about the arts but integrate the arts as an accessible pathway to academic, cognitive, and social-emotional growth. CAL manages a roster of over 75 full-time and freelance teaching artists that provide instruction of our arts programming. Collectively, our roster possesses training and expertise in the full spectrum of visual, performing, digital arts, and other art forms. CAL is an affiliate of the national Young Audiences Arts for Learning network.
