In response to this need, the Center for Global Awareness (CGA) provides books, educational materials, and programs with a global awareness approach to topics ranging from world history to the economy. This global awareness approach allows readers to explore a cross-cultural understanding of international topics, recognizing the relationship among our own lives and all living beings throughout the world. In 2018, the CGA launched GATHER, Global Awareness Through Engaged Reflection. GATHER is an adult conversation and study program dedicated to enhancing global awareness through engaged discussions of pressing global issues. GATHER provides an opportunity to see different perspectives, transcend deep political and cultural divides, and engage with others to create positive change.
