At the Center for Research on Programmable Plant Systems (CROPPS), we are opening a dialogue with plants to deepen our understanding of the living world and empower a future of sustainable, resilient, and nutrient-rich agriculture. Guided by our mission, we bring together a diverse community of researchers and educators to collaboratively develop cutting-edge technologies, engage with the public, and drive scientific discoveries that promote a healthy future for people, plants, and the planet. CROPPS is a Science and Technology Center funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), dedicated to advancing the field of digital biology. The center is led by Cornell University in collaboration with the Boyce Thompson Institute, Colorado State University, the University of Arizona, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Tuskegee University.
