About Center for Russia and Eastern Europe Research (CREER)
CREER Geneva— Center for Russia and Eastern Europe Research— is the first think tank specialising in Central and Eastern Europe in Geneva Project Launched in 2017, the Center for Russia and Eastern Europe Research is the first think tank specializing in Russia and post-Soviet states. It is dedicated to a large public, concerned with different regional problems related to this area. Our purpose is to provide a neutral and objective perspective on our area of specialization through rigorous academic research, which is important in a difficult international context and abased media environment. We wish to encourage meetings and dialogue between economic and political decision-makers or journalists, around issues that are regionally specific and represent major challenges. First, we will publish critical academic articles written by our members and contributors who are specialized in Russian, Eastern European, and post-Soviet Union studies on the following subjects: news, politics, economy, defence and security, history, literature, press analyses, conferences and interviews. Second, depending on our budget, we will also be able to offer to our public: a website in French, English and Russian conferences and annual symposiums workshops and quarterly seminars for journalists, business owners or diplomats breakfasts, meetings and round tables podcasts and weekly Facebook posts publications and annual reports about our area of specialization specific analyses on demand Academic committee We will soon establish a committee composed of university professors specialized in the area, as well as other prominent figures. Partners The new GEG (“Groupe d’Etudes Géopolitique de l’Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris”) is our partner from the beginning. We contribute to their editorials by providing analyses, which are published on their website. We are currently actively looking for additional sponsors, international universities and foundations.
