About Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth Asia-Pacific
The Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth Asia-Pacific, is one of three CSP entities in key locations with significant concentrations of private wealth. The APAC team is based out of Singapore. Our work is based on two important developments: 1. Sustainable Finance has emerged as a key opportunity to deploy large amounts of capital for financial returns and positive social and environmental outcomes. Sustainable Finance can become a key driver for sustainable development. 2. Private Wealth has become highly concentrated. Today, 0.7 percent of the global population controls more than 50 percent of total private wealth, as well as many of the world’s largest conglomerates, companies, and foundations. Many wealth owners are deeply interested in Sustainable Finance but lack the capacity to engage. To bring these two phenomena together, our research and teaching work is uniquely positioned at the nexus of sustainable finance and private wealth. As such, our goal is to activate private wealth and sustainable finance, at scale, as a substantial driver for sustainable development.
