About Central Press
Central Press is a privately owned printing house founded in the early 1960s by the late Yousef Hammad; known to be one of the first paper traders and a leading supplier of paper in Jordan. To meet the rising demand on school books at that time, he took the first step by establishing a small printing house in King Hussein Street, Amman in 1960. Following the establishment of the printing house in its first location, came the second phase, which was set in motion in 1978 with the move to our present location on Madaba Street; opposite to The Amman Custom House, where a gradual expansion in installed machinery and work area took place. Central Press has been marching steadily forward in advancement ever since, and for more than forty years now, has been keeping up with the ever growing printing industry, committing itself to being up-to-date with the latest in existing printing technology and acquiring machines only from the best manufacturers in the world. This has brought Central Press to the forefront as a leading and acclaimed comprehensive printing house in both Jordan and the region.
