As the peak body in child and family services in Tasmania and Victoria, the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare (the Centre) proudly represents over 150 organisations, spanning community service organisations from proactive prevention and early intervention to the critical provision of out-of-home care. For over 100 years, we have advocated for the rights of vulnerable children, young people and families, ensuring their voices are heard, their safety is prioritised, their education is accessible, and connections to family, community, and culture are preserved. As the voice of organisations and individuals dedicated to advancing child and family wellbeing, we set the standards for practice and professional development in child and family services. Policy and ideas: Develop, influence and advocate for public policies that advance the rights and wellbeing of children, young people and families and address the social, economic and cultural barriers to improving their lives.
