About Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer of Charles University

The Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer of Charles University (CKTT) is the technology transfer office of Charles University (CUNI). We are the integral part of CUNI and, within the innovation proces, we provide professional services not only for the academic community – scientists and students, but also for the external partners of Charles University. Our team focus on finding new ideas among researchers at the CUNI and their legal and patent protection. CKTT also offers services for contractual research and consulting, connects scientific teams with partners from the private and public sectors, and seeks and secures grant funding for innovation activities. Furthermore, CKTT provides training in the field of knowledge and technology transfer for the Charles University employees and students, same as for the external interested parties. In the final stages of commercialization (sale or licensing of intellectual property, establishment of spin-offs), CKTT cooperates closely with a UK subsidiary company, Charles University Innovations Prague (CUIP, www.cuip.cz/).
