About Centre Hospitalier International de Calavi (CHIC)
The Centre Hospitalier International de Calavi (CHIC) is a university hospital designed to become a leading reference in healthcare in West Africa. Located in Benin, it will gradually open its doors in early 2025 to provide high-quality medical services in a modern, secure, and innovative environment. The institution also aims to actively contribute to medical research, continuous training, and the development of strategic partnerships on a regional and international scale. With a capacity of 434 beds and spaces, it will be a center of excellence in adult medical and surgical disciplines, including musculoskeletal and neurosurgery, cardiovascular and thoracic care, head and neck treatments, cardiology and metabolism, oncology, hepato-gastroenterology (medical and surgical), nephrology, and urology. It will feature a state-of-the-art technical platform, including a medical imaging department with X-ray, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, and mammography, as well as radiotherapy, brachytherapy, and nuclear medicine facilities. A cyclotron, nine operating rooms, a fully equipped biology laboratory, an anatomopathology lab, and an emergency reception unit will also be part of its infrastructure. CHIC is currently engaged in the recruitment of qualified and passionate professionals, determined to establish a model of expertise and human-centered care.
