Centro Cultural de Fargo/Moorhead is a leadership development center based in the Romkey Park Community. Our Mission is to reach out, connect and empower Latinos and the Fargo/Moorhead Community The Vision: Latinos will lead the Fargo/Moorhead community with academic excellence, self respect and in complete community governance. Centro Cultural values Leadership, Social Justice, Economic Justice and Racial Justice. These values serve as the compass for Centro Cultural to guide future decisions. Goals include: I. Bring stories of the Latino community to forefront; II. Support Latinos as they progress through their education; III. Provide community education experiences to advance community development and leadership; IV. Connect Leaders with new and existing leadership opportunities; V. Supports the leaders- in-action; VI. Develop a community network between Latinos in the community; VII. Develop and support other Latino organizations in the community; VIII. Develop Latino leadership to bring their issues to the table; IX. Support the development of community associations; X. Develop coalitions to address shared issues. History Centro Cultural de Fargo/Moorhead was started through a community organizing effort in 1993 when a group of concerned Latino residents began to hold house meetings geared toward addressing the pressing issues facing the growing Latino community in the Fargo/Moorhead metropolitan area.
