Cermalab is the only laboratory of its size and wide range of expertise in southern Africa. Our experienced professionals are involved in all aspects of materials testing, improving process technology and evaluating final products according to specified standards. In May 2011 Cermalab established the Tile Adhesive testing laboratory and became the first independent tester of tile adhesives in South Africa. The Institute of Ceramic Education (ICE), affiliated to Cermalab, presents 2 training courses to the ceramics industry; a 8-module brick-making course over a period of sixteen weeks and a quality control course which runs over a period of 3 days.
