Tamahori. Raised to build, Certain Matter bridges architecture, commercial, interior and material design, providing an unparalleled holistic approach that values sustainability, perspective and innovation. The clean joints of his father’s workshop. His family home built from trees his father felled. Daniel learnt the art of materials early, fostered on his father’s ethos of ‘the best design is often the simplest’. As a second-generation carpenter and successful interior designer, having worked with some of Sydney’s top design firms, Dan’s minimalist aesthetic understands design is response. Centred on a new language of ideas, each brief is a palm line, a handshake. Each work is a partnership between client, artisan, materials and space. This is Certain Matter.
